Aletha Hanson

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Aletha received her BA from the University of Florida in 1988 and began employment as a full time teacher at the Beijing Telecommunications University, PRC. Returning to the USA in 1989, she was contracted by Electrodata Pty. Ltd. of Australia, suppliers of voice logging recorders to the aviation, banking and financial services industries, as sales and product support representative in Chicago. From 1990, Aletha moved to Australia and undertook consulting contracts through business partnership with Mr. John Hanson, International Technology Marketing (ITM) and was solely responsible for a major contract with Health Development Australia (subsidiary of the State Government Insurance Commission).
From 1991 to present, Aletha jointly founded IMDS (now IDS) as one of two equal shareholders and one of two full-time working directors, initially with responsibility for sales and service provision for all contracts to supply occupational health and safety documentation and injury databasing services to large employers in the Australian manufacturing sector. As IDS has became oil-industry focused, she has been responsible for the administrative and financial functions of the company, through expansion to five offices worldwide and 70 full-time staff.
