Douwe Franssens
Data Center Consultant
Douwe graduated in 1986 from Dredging College in Delfzijl, The Netherlands.
He spent 7 years travelling the globe for the largest Dredging Company in the world, mainly involved in Process Automation and Automated Dredging. He joined Sperry Drilling Services in Saudi Arabia in 1992, first as a Well Planning Engineer but subsequently as an implementation specialist for the INSITE Data Management system. This was followed by a period in Houston, Texas where he was responsible for All Technical Software Testing as well as heavily involved in the definition of the systems that now power Halliburton’s Real Time solutions.
After spending 3 years as the Real Time Solutions Manager for Asia Pacific working with all major clients to design and implement Real Time Solutions for all aspects of the Well Planning, Construction and Production Phases, he served as the Global Real Time Technology Manager for Sperry Drilling Services responsible for the successfull implementation of Real Time projects in all their aspects before joining Baryonyx.
