Vision
The Company's vision is:
- To be a leading, innovative U.S. Independent Renewable Energy business;
- To be identified as an ethical and responsible business by its stakeholders.
Mission
To realize the vision, the Company has set out its mission to:
- Identify development opportunities that meet with our vision;
- Develop the first offshore wind energy project in the Gulf of Mexico;
- Recognise commercial potential in the global transition to a low-carbon, high-cost energy business environment;
- Develop combined energy and information technology projects that deliver commercial symbiosis and consequently reduce or remove barriers to progress caused by infrastructure deficiency;
- Maintain an awareness of developing technology and commercial factors that influence the deliverability and value of our projects;
- Maintain positive relationships with government, industry and community contacts, particularly in the areas where we are developing projects, and
- Where possible promote additional local community benefit by encouraging the development of support industries.
Objectives
- First data center revenue by year end 2011;
- First wind energy production by year end 2012;
- Complete permitting for first offshore wind development by end of H1 2013, and
- First offshore wind energy production by end of Q3 2014.
Strategy
Management intends to achieve the objectives through:
- Establishing a core management and development team headquartered in Austin, Texas;
- Extending the capability of the management team by contracting with reputable, experienced consultants and contractors to assist with project design, permitting and delivery;
- Hiring additional core management personnel as required;
- Hiring an experienced data center operations specialist to assist with configuration of data center service offering to maximise attractiveness to prospective customers, and
- Developing and maintaining commercial relationships with equipment suppliers and seeking their commercial involvement where they stand to benefit from Baryonyx projects being constructed.
Short Term Goals (2010-2012)
- Secure development permits for the Dallam Ranch Data center project and proceed to finance the first phase of construction in order to demonstrate the business concept;
- Secure first data center capacity sales contract to support financing of the Dallam Ranch Project;
- Finance and construct the Phase 1 Dallam Ranch Windfarm;
- Identify and secure land for data center development in the South Texas area to compliment the offshore wind energy developments; and
- Acquire additional onshore and offshore development opportunities.
Longer Term Goals (2013-2020)
- Secure permits for the construction of offshore windfarms in the Gulf of Mexico;
- Contract and finance the offshore windfarms together with a farm-down of interests to offset development equity requirements;
- Finance and construct the Phase 2 Dallam Ranch Windfarm;
- Finance and construct the Phase 2 Dallam Ranch data center, and
- Achieve a valuation and potential exit opportunity for early shareholders.
